World Bank approves a 25 million euro loan to Macedonia

The Board of Directors of the World Bank has approved a loan of 25 million euros for Macedonia to improve municipal services. But the money could be taken after the completion of parliamentary elections on April 24th.

"Given the electoral cycle in the Republic of Macedonia, the project will enter into force and payments will begin after the end parliamentary elections," reads the official statement of the World Bank.

A few days ago, the German bank KFB approved a loan of 39 million euros for the central heating of the Monastery, while the German embassy, when asked about the possibility for these money to be misused for election campaign, said that the project will have the international supervision. /
