Head of the OSCE Presence, Ambassador Eugen Wollfarth said at a meeting with a group of excellent high school students on Friday that "Albania is a young democracy and has a young population and both factors will largely contribute to building the country’s future.” In attendance of the event, held as part of the OSCE Presence civil education project in Albania aimed at developing an active citizenship through civic education, were over 50 high school students from Vlora, Kukes and Tirana. In his remarks, Ambassador Wollfarth noted that "active citizens are needed to build the future and education is crucial for developing an active citizenship.” "The OSCE Presence is assisting with curriculum reform and I firmly believe that these eventual reforms will greatly strengthen civic education in the country," Wollfarth said. /albeu.com/
