War crimes in Kosovo, Albanians are convicted more that Serbs

During the last war in Kosovo, Albanians are convicted of war crimes five times more than Serbs. It is estimated to be over 12 thousand Albanians and about 800 Serbs who were killed, writes the newspaper "Koha Ditore".

Since the installation of EULEX in 2008, the prosecutors of this mission have filed seven indictments. Four of them were against Albanians, and three of them against Serbs. Judges of this mission have revealed 13 verdicts for war crimes. Eleven of them were against Albanians, and the remaining verdicts (two) were against Serbs.

Likewise, has acted the mission of UNMIK in Kosovo with had executive powers until the declaration of independence on February 17, 2008.
According to statistics of the Humanitarian Law Fund based in Belgrade, an organization that conveys all cases of war crimes trials, since 1999 until early 2011 in Kosovo have been charged, tried or freed 49 persons - Albanian and Serbs. / albeu.com /
