Greece has showed its concern and disappointment and expects the Albanian government to maintain all promises given in bilateral and European meetings.

This is what the vice prime minister and minister of foreign Affairs, Evangelos Venizelos said during the parliamentary hearing asked from the Golden Dawn MP, Ilias Panajotaros regarding the territorial reform of Albania.

“We managed to achieve the objective for 8 minority villages in the prefecture of Saranda, to be part of the new municipality of Livadhja, except Cuka.

But in the other hand, the Himara municipality was merged with Lukova and Vranisht, a fact that according to Venizelos does not reflect the demographic character of the area where minorities live, as PM Edi Rama has previously said", the press release in the Foreign Ministry webpage reads.

After mentioning the names of Albanian minority MP-es who have voted or not the new reform, Venizelos says that Albania has to respect and protect human rights in her territory. /albeu.com/
