"The Economist" magazine has published a report which predicts that our economy will continue to grow because of a higher business and consumer confidence, and a more favorable external environment.

"The economic growth will accelerate to an average of 3.4% for the period 2016-2017, from 2.8% in the previous year, benefiting from the improvement of the situation in the Eurozone and the recovery of domestic activity," reads the report, according to Top Channel.

Study data from the magazine noted that the government inherited a difficult economic situation in 2013 with a slowing economy and a growing debt.

"The current government has signed a three-year cooperation program with the IMF to stabilize the economy and public finances," reads the report.

Experts of "The Economist" said that fiscal consolidation is a priority for the government, as it seeks to reduce the budget deficit increased from the 2013 elections and the money the state owes to businesses.

"We think that the government's target of a budget deficit of 2.2% in 2016 is optimistic. However, we anticipate that the deficit will be significantly reduced to 2.8% as a result of faster economic growth and improvements in tax collection,"the report concludes./Albeu.com/
