Reeker in Tirana: Albania's security meets EU demands
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip T. Reeker, in a visit he paid, along with Minister of Internal Affairs Flamur Noka, to the Delta Force command of territorial movement in the city Vloram declared that Albania has fulfilled the EU demands in the field of security.

In his address, Reeker praised Albania's achievements, as regards to modernization of police and its quality, especially in the fight against trafficking. These successes, Reeker stressed, meet the demands of the European Union.

He praised also Albania's contribution in Afghanistan and Iraq, and assured that US is and will be the principal partner of Albania.

Minister Noka, in turn, said that the priority of the Albanian government was to completely put borders under control and transforming Albania into a safe country and a stability factor in the region.

Reeker's agenda continues with a visit to the city of Durres where he will attend the conference 'The Future Roles of NATO and the EU in Southeastern-Europe / EU Enlargement and Transatlantic Challenges'.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs will also pay a visit at 'Albanian Screen' Television where he will be a special guest at 'Bugajski Hour' Show. The interview will mark the first occasion that a high level diplomat visits an Albanian television.
