Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that the number of tourists visiting our country has risen 14 % this year. During a press conference the head of the government spoke also about public investments. He said that the government is negotiating to find the funds to complete some ongoing projects.

"We don't have the money to complete all the streets that are being under construction. The negotiations process is not easy because we have to secure a huge amount of money from other sources and not the state budget. We have also gotten the consent of a national bank, and we also have a program with the IMF", Rama said.

Criminality, 30 % less murders and killings than in 2013

Even though Rama said he does not like to talk about figures regarding criminality he said that comparing 2014 to 2013, there has been some improvement.

"30 % less murders and killings than in 2013. 75 % less robberies in the tourism areas of the country, the number of road accidents is 22 % smaller, a smaller number of victims", he said.

Another important issue for the PM is the security in the country. The police, he said, managed to secure a peaceful tourism season this year.

“We had 2388 policemen working, 201 vehicles, 17 boats and 1 helicopter to make sure everything would be okay", Rama said.

Rama: In 6 months 43 thousand new jobs.

A big achievement during the first year of the governance was the employment.

“Only during the 6 first months there are 43 thousand and 879 new job positions. During the summer 14 thousand and 300 people more. 10359 people have been employed through these offices. There are 20 thousand jobs registered", the PM ended. /albeu.com/
