Prime Minister, Edi Rama, on the eve of Pope's visit stressed that Muslim and Christians Albanians all believe in a European future and should be respected for bringing peace to the region. He was present at a religious exhibition.

"The visit of a spiritual leader is a rare miracle in a troubled world.

Among Albanians there is no hassle or religious divisions. Albanians are Muslim and Christian. Albania is not a Muslim country but a European country with a Muslim and Christian population", he said.

He further stressed that Albania is an example of religious coexistence and reiterated that Europe needs our country as much as we need Europe.

"I watched today a photo in a newspaper that showed both Pope Francis and the head of Muslim Community in Albania. A picture that is worth a million words.

We live in difficult times. Pope says that World War III has started.

The war that began in Iraq and Syria is a war similar to a deadly epidemic with no boundaries.

Pope John Paul II landed in Albania when the Cold War was over. The Holy Father comes to speak about the need for Europe to unite. Today Europe needs the Balkans as much as the Balkans need them", he said.

Rama stressed that the exhibition aims to show how Albanians really and they should be respected for these values. /albeu.com/
