"The Serbian cultural and religious heritage in Kosovo can be best protected if Kosovo becomes part of UNESCO, while the use of force belongs to the past, to the war that ended a long time ago. " The statements comes from the MP and Vice President of the European Parliament, Ulrike Lunacek in an interview to Radio Free Europe in the Serbian language.

"The use of force is something that belongs to the past and I am glad that it is so. The war ended a long time ago. Theh Serbian cultural and religious heritage in Kosovo is protected and will be protected even better when Kosovo becomes member of UNESCO", she says.

"I hope that many of the member countries of the EU and the UN would not listen to Serbia, since when you visit Kosovo, you can clearly see that during in the recent years there has been much progress, facilities have been reconstructed. I myself have visited the Orthodox church in Prizren, which was so well kept. Popi told us that when walking the streets of Prizren people greet me with "Dobar dan"(Good morning)", she stressed, adding that she does not understand why Serbia is so against it.

Speaking about the tense situation in Kosovo, she thinks that violence, throwing eggs, tear gas in the Parliament are unacceptable. According to her, the dialogue is the only way. /albeu.com/
