Integration Minister Klajda Gjosha said today that the integration process is costly not only for the state budget but also for the political life of the country.

She was speaking during the presentation of the study regarding the cost of integration into the European Union.

While the EU ambassador in our country Clive Rumbold said that the integration of a country into the European Union, makes possible for all countries to have benefits bigger than costs, and added that much work is needed to achieve economic and political stability.

"EU has seen many crisis, but the process of enlargement has caused for these countries to develop both economically and politically.

When countries are united the benefits are bigger than costs. European integration is not a shortcut to economic and political stability, it needs a lot of work. Albania needs to work harder to become a member with full rights in the EU. A country needs a plan to move forward. Costs will be much bigger if Albania does not take big and important steps towards EU", he said. /albeu.com/
