Drenova prison-break: 3 fugitives have allegedly crossed into Greece

The three fugitives from a high-security prison in Drenova of Korca have allegedly crossed the Albanian border. Reiz Haxhiraj, Gezim Toma and Eduard Lulo are still at large, while sources close to the police indicated that the stolen mules which were allegedly used by fugitives to cross the border have been found inside the Greek territory.

Police suspects that they are together and have crossed the border helped by other persons. Local villagers told to the police that they have seen three persons travelling on mules heading for the Greek border. Police inquiries focused on the village of Dardha, Korca, and in the district of Devolli, after footprints and fire traces were found close to a tunnel near a ski runway.

According to police, searches have also extended to the area near the border crossing of Kapshtica, in the district of Devolli, while operating groups interrupted searches overnight due to difficult weather conditions. /albeu.com/
