The Democratic Party today asked the prosecutor to raise an investigation immediately after the testimony given in court by collector George Thimio who claims that the Prime Minister and the Deputy of SP Koco Kokedhima tried to take from him a painting of 1 million euros value.

In a statement to the media, the Spokesperson of the Democratic Party, Laura Vorpsi, underlined that “these accusations against Rama become even more credible when he has other similar reports in the past, and when it is known that the Prime Minister needed to find a valuable gift for his adviser, Tony Blair.

“The declarations of Gjergji Thimio are shocking. He claims that Edi Rama and Koco Kokedhima, organized his arrest because he refused to give them a 1 million EUR painting made by Onufri. Thimio says that Kokedhima has threatened to take his valuable painting through other methods. The accusations are very severe. The Prosecution must reiew this declaration and shed light on the affair of Rama and Kokedhima with the artworks. these accusations against Rama become even more credible when he has other reports of this kind in the past, and when it is known that the Prime Minister needed to find a valuable gift for his adviser, Tony Blair. Thimio has also accused that behind the media-show operation about the seizing of the works, thousands of other objects have been taken from Rama, Kokedhima and Lame. The Democratic Party asks the Prosecution to start investigating this declaration”, Vorpsi declared.
