The Prime Minister of Albania, Sali Berisha declared that starting from July 1st, the government will increase wages and pensions. He said that this is a way of continuing the tradition since 2005, when the democrats came to power, repoorts Albeu.com informative portal.
“The average wage will increase with 5%. Higher wages might not be increased, or maybe with 1%. Pensions will increase with 4% for cities and 5% for villages”, Berisha declared.
The Prime Minister Berisha, also mentioned some of the categories that will benefit from these increases.
“The average wage for a middle educator employee will increase to 58.802. In 2005 it was 26.831. The wage for the secondary school education will be 50.019, while in 2005 it was 22.771. Doctors will have a wage of 57.553 ALL. In 2005 it was 22.683. The average wage for a nurse was 15.000 in 2005, and in 2012 it will become 36.725”, Berisha declared.
During the meeting, The Prime Minister defended the tax proportional system against the progressive system that the Socialists propose.
“If the revenues of the progressive system in 2004 were 130 billion ALL, together with taxes on customs and contributions, the proportional system with less revenues in taxes and customs and insurances has collected 288 billion”, Berisha declared. /albeu.com/
