Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha commented today the loss of the last parliamentary elections, and during the National Assembly, he said that the loss came mainly due to the global economic crisis and the lack of dialogue with citizens.

"Manipulation of voters, voter alienation and the effects of the global crisis undoubtedly impacted on the election outcome, but the outcome would be different if we'd been more determined, more united and more committed to the electoral battle. We did not use our real potential, "said the leader of the opposition.

Basha said that DP will know how to get up on its feet and mentioned that they stayed in opposition 8 years after losing the parliamentary elections in 1997.

"We have the unique experience of recovery. We rise from the ashes after like it happened in 1997. It is a very valuable experience, not only for Democrats of every generation, but also for politics in general" he said. /
