Heavy snowfall over the past days has paralyzed many cities and regions in Kosova and local authorities in Peje, Junik and Kaēanik have declared emergency situation shooting down schools and roads as air temperatures are forecast to decrease to -22 Celsius degrees during the next week. The severe winter weather with heavy snowfalls and freezing temperatures has forced Minister of Education Ramė Buja to cancel school throughout the country for the rest of the week. As workers struggle to remove snow from the roads, traffic has been paralyzed, while road leading to skiing resort of Brezovice has been blocked by avalanches. Workers at the northern commune of Mitrovice have managed to open mountainous road to three Albanian-dominated villages of Leposaviē area, communes of Bistrice, Koshtove and Ceraje, which also continue to be blocked by the Serb barricades. /albeu.com/
