World Bank will provide a fund worth USD 40 mln to the Albanian government to help alleviate the effects of global economic crisis and maintain the rates of economic growth. World Bank Country Manager for Albania Kseniya Lvovsky said in an interview with the media that financial assistance will support reforms in the sector of pensions, amendments to law on welfare benefits and dam safety. Analysing the recent economic developments in the country, she said the low flow of remittances has caused a slowdown in economic growth. /albeu.com/
