The Constitutional Court rejected the request to remove suspension of the Vetting Law, deciding to wait for the Venice Commission's opinion in December.
The request was made from members of the majority, who stated that it is necessary to start with the implementation of the justice reform.
On behalf of the Parliament, Pandeli Majko demanded the removal of the suspension. "We do not know the reasons for the suspension. Under the Constitution there should be an excuse. The suspension wasn't done based on the constitutional definition", Majko said.
In turn, the representative of the Union of Judges, Gerd Hoxha was against suspension removal. Present at the session was also US Ambassador, Donald Lu. /Albeu.com/
