In his first reaction after the win of the Socialist candidate in Kolonja, PM Edi Rama thanked all those who supported and trusted the party. "It is important to win, but most of all, it is important to understand that a victory like this turns into a debt and we will do what we can to have more investments in the area", Rama said.
He said that yesterday's elections were another strong and clear message. "I hope that the DP will read the message as it is and will reflect in its position, because for 3 years they have forgotten their duty as an opposition", Rama said, leaving the party's headquarters.
SP's candidate Ilia Stefo won with a difference of 2101 votes. He won against Dritan Hajro from the Agrarian Party of Agron Duka. Stefo won 62.8 per cent of the votes, while Hajro 37.1 per cent.
CEC said that in these early elections, held after the sudden death of the former mayor, the participation was 49.6 per cent. /albeu.com/
