The Court of Serious Crimes sentenced today Rasim Doda, a judge from the city of Saranda, to four years and six months in prison. He will also be banned from the judiciary for three years.
Doda was arrested on June 2015, after requesting 80.000 EUR to rule in favor of a party for a civilian trial. He had even provided the party with a copy of his verdict one day before it was due, as proof.
Since this party told the judge they could not pay that sum, he issued another verdict, in favor of the other party.
The judge has denied all charges and said that everything was a trap. /albeu.com/
