Serbia must recognize Kosovo's independence and it must be done as soon as possible. This is what the Albanian PM, Edi Rama said today in Belgrade in the security forum also attended by his Serbian counterpart, Alexandar Vucic.

Initially relaxed and then involved in serious conversations, both PMs showed some tension when Kosovo was mentioned.

Rama said he strongly supports dialogue and a happy life for every citizen, but said he doesn’t understand the stance of Serbia. "Trepca belongs to Kosovo.
Is a mine in the heart of Kosovo and you cannot move it to Belgrade. People in Kosovo must understand it belongs to all of its citizens, Albanian and Serbian alike", Rama said.

Vucic was nervous at first, but said that Kosovo doesn't seem ready for dialogue.

"Edi Rama is a better politician than me. I don't want to say bad words about people in Pristina, because it is not part of my character. But they always made the worst choice when it came to their economy and Trepca. They don't want to discuss with Serbia", he said.

Vucic praised Chancellor Angela Merkel about the refugee crisis and said Serbia is a good reflection of that solution. Rama said that Albanians have always wanted to be part of Europe and we don't have two loves, like Serbia, with Russia and the EU at the same time.

When Rama said that Clinton will win elections in the US, Vucic responded that Rama knows best and he doesn't, but Rama answered by saying that Vucic knows better than him what happens in Russia.
