The Parliamentary Committee for Civil Rights, Justice and Home Affairs of the European Parliament (LIBE) voted against the visa liberalization for Kosovo after the country did not approve the border demarcation between Kosovo and Montenegro.
However, the commission supports the report of the European Union's rapporteur on visa liberalization for Kosovo, Tanja Fajon, which is seen as a positive step.
This committee is the last procedure before the European Parliament decides on whether Kosovo citizens can travel without visas to EU countries.
The Commission pledged that they will not send the file to the European Parliament without a decision on the demarcation issue.
Before the vote, Fajon said that Kosovo must fulfill the conditions. /albeu.com/
