Albanian exports, Turkey replaces Greece
"Made in Albania" products are experiencing a surge in the EU and international markets. The main partner is Italy with 53 percent of exports. While Turkey has replaced Greece at the second place, becoming the country where 7.5 percent of Albanian products are exported.

'In the last two years, the reorientation of Albania's exports has shifted. Greece traditionally has been the second country as regards to the exports. Italy continues to be the first country, while Turkey and Kosovo have taken the second place, they are quite at the same level. In the first place regarding categories of products we find textiles and shoes. In the second most exported category we find hydrocarbons with 27 percent and then construction material with 13.5 percent", Pranvera Kastrati, Commercial Policies Head at Ministry of Economy, said.

The export levels with EU countries are at 72 percent while levels with CEFTA, with whom Albania has signed free trade agreement is 12.5 percent. In 2011 goods exports to EU have been 1018.5 million euro with a growth of 26 percent.
